What makes our Cocoa Body Butters so good?
Our Cocoa Body Butters are 100% natural, luxurious, all over body moisturisers, that will leave skin feeling gorgeously soft and smooth. We use organic Fairtrade cocoa butter in these body butters, which is suitable for all skin types, but an especially great choice for sensitive skin as it's gentle yet effective.
Our Cocoa Body Butters come in three heavenly chocolate scents. Delight is made with organic peppermint essential oil and smells just like After Eights chocolate, while Sensual is made with organic sweet orange essential oil, reminiscent of Jaffa Cakes! Divine is left naked and retains a beautiful natural scent of plain chocolate. All three of our Cocoa Body Butters smell rich and delicious, and the scent lingers long after applying so you'll smell gorgeous for hours!
What is the difference between the Cocoa Body Butters and the Shea Body Butters?
The main difference is the ingredients and the scent. In the Shea Body Butters, we use a high percentage of shea butter and no cocoa butter. In the Cocoa Body Butters we use a high percentage of cocoa butter and because cocoa is a very hard butter, we add a small amount of shea butter to soften. The Cocoa Body Butters retain their rich chocolate-like scent.
Cocoa butter is rich in saturated fats, including oleic acid, stearic acid and palmitic acid which are fantastic for moisturising skin and helping to keep it supple. Cocoa butter helps to replenish and protect the skin's natural barrier. It may also help protect against premature aging and skin damage due to it's high level of cocoa mass polyphenol.
Cocoa butter isn't suitable for use on the face.
Are your Cocoa Body Butters vegan?
Yes, they are 100% vegan. See ingredient list below. They're also 100% natural, 98% organic, and cruelty free too. The cocoa butter we use is Fairtrade too.
Are the Cocoa Body Butters suitable for use in pregnancy?
Divine is the only Cocoa Body Butter we would 100% recommend in pregnancy as it contains no essential oils.
Sensual is suitable too, as sweet orange essential oil is considered safe to use in pregnancy and can be a wonderfully uplifting oil to use. However, occasionally skin can become more sensitive in pregnancy and react differently so always conduct a patch test 24 hours before using and stop at any sign of skin irritation.
Delight is NOT suitable for use in pregnancy due to the peppermint essential oil which is not safe for use in pregnancy.
What ingredients are in the Cocoa Body Butters?
We use high quality, ethically sourced ingredients in all of our skincare products.
The base ingredients for our Cocoa Body Butters are: Fairtrade & organic cocoa butter, organic almond oil, organic golden jojoba oil, organic unrefined shea butter, natural vitamin E oil. We then add organic sweet orange oil for Sensual and peppermint oil for Delight.
